Mandan Public Schools – Nutrition Services

Prime Vendor (Food Distribution Services)
Mandan Public Schools (MPS) is requesting proposals from qualified distributors to serve as the Prime Vendor for the purchase and delivery of commercial food products and related services for the district’s Nutrition Services Department.

The intent of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to establish a contract with a single distributor to support school meal programs, including the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, beginning August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, with the option to renew for up to four (4) additional one-year terms.

Late submissions and proposals submitted by mail, fax, or hand delivery will not be accepted.
Scope of Services:

The selected vendor will provide a broad range of food products and services to support district meal programs, with an expectation that approximately 90% of commercial food purchases will be fulfilled through the awarded distributor.
Evaluation and Award:

Proposals will be evaluated based on criteria including pricing, service capabilities, product availability, and overall responsiveness to the RFP requirements. The contract will be awarded to the proposer whose submission is determined to be in the best interest of Mandan Public Schools.
